On September 18th within the framework of the students’ club of linguistic and cultural studies “Travel Office” under the guidance of the lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology Olena Nazarenko the fifth year student of specialty “Philology” Alina Ponomarenko met with freshemen.

The girl spoke about studying and working in Germany, summer language courses, cultural backgrounds, everyday life and opportunities to visit the country. After the 3rd year of studying Alina went to Germany to work. She highlighted the sincerity, the willingness to help and the open-mindedness of the Germans. Alina told students about some small difficulties in her work, dialects and cultural differences. However, the future interpreter emphasized the invaluable experience and warm memories that summer gave her, and the good German language skills gained at SumDU.
«I was able to attend concerts, travel and improve my own German. It is a pity that I haven’t applied for these programs earlier, so fight your own insecurity, use the various opportunities offered by SumDU and participate in the programs», encouraged Alina first-year students.
