In March 2024, the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in academic subjects among students of vocational education institutions in 2023-2024 was held in eight academic subjects, including foreign languages. 

The event was aimed at identifying, supporting and developing the creative potential of students, as well as preparing them for final examinations.

For three hours, the participants have completed various tasks. In addition, the team leaders were given a training session entitled "Self-Care" organised by representatives of the Sumy Regional Organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

Halyna Chulanova (associate professor at the Department of Germanic Philology) was an English jury member.

The winners were:

First place - Yuliia DENYSENKO, Lebedyn Higher Vocational School of Forestry (teacher Anna KHARCHENKO);

Second place - Anna KOSTENKO, Sumy Higher Vocational School of Construction and Design (teacher Oleksandra KOSENKO);

The third place - Polina NIKITCHENKO, Sumy Higher Vocational School of Construction and Motor Vehicles (teacher Oksana BURLAKA); Yana OMELIANENKO, Konotop Higher Vocational School (teacher Yevhenia SAVELA); Oleksandra SUSHCHENKO, Sumy Interregional Higher Vocational School (teacher Oksana Tsyrulik).
