Students and lecturers of the Department of Germanic Philology do their best to come together in a fabulous Christmas time and maintain the New Year atmosphere even during the quarantine. SumDU translators organized and held an online meeting dedicated to the New Year and Christmas holidays.

On December 29, lecturers and students gathered at a ZOOM conference to strengthen the Christmas mood and have a good time.

Participants have prepared various greetings for lecturers and students. Some greetings were humorous, some of them were very kind and hearty. Then, lecturers congratulated students and their colleagues. This New Year meeting also pleased us with interactive games. Students guessed songs and popular Christmas movies, played mafia, watched movies together.

Volodymyr Vovk (a PR-02 student) shares his impressions:

"I am happy that we can communicate and prepare for holidays together even during the pandemic. This online meeting significantly improved my festive mood. I got acquainted with interesting people. I am interested in music, so I was delighted with the song contest. I fully support the idea of ​​such meetings for all students and lecturers. This is an essential component of student life!

The meeting atmosphere was warm, festive and friendly. Students had the opportunity to communicate and share their Christmas mood. Such events unite. I can say without any doubt that philology students have become more friendly and happy. We are already looking forward to a new large-scale event!"
