On December 24, a Christmas meeting of students and lecturers with Lena Zuttmeier was organized. The guest is a graduate of the Department of Germanic Philology. Now, she lives in Germany, works at the Ministry of Education and as a headteacher at gymnasium. The students’ club of linguistic and cultural studies “Travel Office” guided by Olena Nazarenko and Alla Krasuliа held the meeting.

Live from Germany, Lena and her husband Peter willingly told students about celebrating Christmas in this country. Listeners had the opportunity to compare German celebration traditions with Ukrainian ones and immersed themselves in the world of German cuisine and folklore.

The meeting was going on in a warm and friendly mood. The guests enjoyed interesting stories about Lena and Peter’s life in Germany. They also talked about German mentality, attitude to foreigners and other household things. Students expressed an interest in the peculiarities of admission to higher education institutions in Germany. Lena was glad to share current information and told helpful life hacks for learning German.
