During January and February 2023, the department lecturer was a jury member for the Third (Regional) Stage of the All-Ukrainian School Academic Competitions. It was held by Sumy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education and educational institutions of the Sumy region.

Halyna Chulanova (associate professor, PhD in Philology) was a jury chairman in the 2022/2023 academic year for the English Language discipline.

Traditionally, the participants carried out tasks in listening, reading, writing, speaking.

Despite the military state and tense security situation, the competition tasks were performed by pupils of 11 territorial communities. Among them: 4 pupils – the 9th class, 5 pupils – the 10th classes, 5 pupils – the 11th class.
