Yuliia Ishchenko (a 3rd year student) participated in the All-Ukrainian Olena Teliha and Oleh Olzhych Literary Contest "Only Those Who Can Laugh in Pain Are Victorious!". It was held by the Ukrainian State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting as well as the Olha Basarab and Olena Teliha Women Society.

As noted by the contest chairman Kovaliv Yurii (DSc in Philology, literary expert, literary historian, poet, the Shevchenko Prize winner, professor), this year the contest was held within the Russian-Ukrainian War. Now, Ukraine is resisting the Moscow invaders to keep its independent existence right. Therefore, the submitted works focused on the nation will, tense human life, suffering and destiny.

Totally, 283 works were submitted to the contest. There were 5 nominations. For the nomination "Translation of Olena Teliha and Oleh Olzhych Poetry into Foreign Languages", the jury decided not to determine the winners, only incentive awards.

Yuliia Ishchenko received a diploma for participation in the literary contest.
