Students of the Department of Germanic Philology presented Sumy State University and their native department with dignity at the All-Ukrainian Shakespeare Competition of Student Research and Creative Projects Named after Vitalii Keis.

The contest was held according to Order of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science №747 as of 1 July 2021. It was aimed at intensifying Shakespearean studies in Ukraine, popularizing his legacy among students, identifying philologically gifted youth, stimulating scientific activity.

There were projects from 72 participants from 22 higher education institutions of Ukraine.

Valeriia Smolianinova (supervisor Olena Yemelianova) received the First Degree Diploma. Karyna Vedmydera (supervisor Maryna Chernyk) was awarded the Second Degree Diploma.
