Department members took part in the judging a competition. It dealt with defense of research works by members of the Ukrainian Junior Academy of Sciences.

Associate Professors Larysa Shchyhlo and Diana Movchan worked in the jury of the German Language and Literature Section.

The evaluation of the participants' works involves several stages. Firstly, the jury gets acquainted with the works themselves and assigns intermediate marks. Secondly, the poster defense takes place online: participants present their works to the jury and answer their questions. Thirdly, there is a conference where young scientists get to know each other's works and have an opportunity to ask questions of their rivals.

Prizes are awarded based on the sum of points. The competition winners of the regional stage will defend their research at the national level.
