During September-December 2023, Oleksandra Kubatko (DSc in Economics, associate professor, senior lecturer of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of Sumy State University) held a course of lectures and practical meetings on discipline "European Economic Security Policy" with third-year students of the Economics and Business specialty.

Within lectures and practical classes, the issues of economic security and economic development of the EU countries were discussed: strategic development from a pan-European point of view. Specific attention was paid to the EU energy dependence, protection of physical strategic infrastructure, access to raw materials and basic goods, environmental protection, climate change, sustainable development of countries, migration, more effective development of EU policy. In addition, during the practical classes, an empirical analysis was conducted based on Eurostat data on the population life quality. Besides, the impact of outer externalities on the socio-economic development of European Union member states was discussed.

The classes were conducted within the Jean Monet Module project "Fostering EU Practices of Education for Sustainable Development through the Brand Language: Interdisciplinary Studies" (101085708-ESDbrandEU-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH). It is being headed by Iryna Ushchapovska.
