On 22 December 2023, students and lecturers of the Department of Germanic Philology took part in the Nationwide Challenge "I am proud of being Ukrainian". The initiator was the Educational and Methodological Center of Vocational and Technical Education in the Sumy Region. In addition, the Department of Germanic Philology became a flash mob partner.

The purpose was to promote the study of foreign languages. It expands access to the global economic, social, educational and cultural opportunities. You have an active life position, unity of word and deed in a growing personality being ready to multiply and popularize Ukrainian traditions and heritage. Youth, teaching staff, deputy directors, methodologists participated in the challenge.

Halyna Chulanova made a motivational speech and congratulated everyone. Viktoriia Vnuchkova and Anastasiia Veremiienko (PR-01), Anzhelika Kalchenko and Kyrylo Harkavyi (PR-11), Veronika Bondar (PR-21) explained why they were proud to bear the proud name of a Ukrainian. The challenge emphasized the importance of youth patriotic upbringing. It helped students feel like a significant part of a large Ukrainian family.
