On 1 November 2023, the Department of Germanic Philology met entrants at the Open Door Day. During the event, future students had an opportunity to communicate with department representatives. They completed assignments and received credits.

The department gave the participants a quiz on translating English phrasal verbs. After the assessment, the guests attended a meeting where they could talk to the faculty dean Olena Sushkova, department head Svitlana Baranova and student government members. 

" Our faculty is creative. It is a powerful humanitarian component of Sumy State University. So, we believe that the war will end soon and we will fully return to lecture rooms", - noted Olena Sushkova.
