On 10-13 October 2022, a workshop on sustainable development in higher education was held in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of the Baltic University Program.

19 representatives from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Finland, Slovakia and Estonia took part in the event, which was hosted in Tallinn University. Within the Ukrainian team, there were lecturers of the Department of Germanic Philology.

The program aim for lecturers of higher education institutions is to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into curricula and teaching. The course emphasis is made on the Moodle use methodology and two workshops.

The first workshop program consisted of lectures, work in international cross-disciplinary groups, implementation of sustainable development exercises and presentation of own change projects.

Iryna Ushchapovska (senior lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology) presented her change project. It consisted in teaching the principles of sustainable development to translation students in a cross-disciplinary context.

Something else we need to comment on is a very warm attitude towards the Ukrainian team and the great support of our country by Estonia. Everywhere we can see the Ukrainian flag next to the Estonian one.
