Vladyslava Bohdanovych (a former graduate of the Department of Germanic Philology) shares her Philology study impressions:

"Due to SumDU, the most important thing that I got is German and English knowledge at a high level. Over the past year, I had life experience in Poland, Switzerland, the USA and Germany. In none of these countries, I did not feel any language barrier at all. I must say frankly: it was difficult for me to study, there were many tasks. It took time to complete them, but I managed. Therefore, everything can be mastered.

Our university has an incredibly developed student life: the 1st-year talent competition "Golden Integral", many cool parties, dance groups, etc. Four years passed quickly, but the memories last a lifetime! Despite the fact that during my student years there was a quarantine, and then the war, I had many cool events. And it is hard to imagine what would happen under normal circumstances...

I am also infinitely grateful to the department. Thanks to it, I met many wonderful people who have become close to my heart. It was at the university where I had met my first love.

In general, nowadays it is difficult to understand immediately who you want to become and how to work in future. But foreign languages are something that will be useful in any case!"
