The event, which took place during the faculty week and brought together students and teachers, was called "Hot Debate". The comic debate format, proposed by the student government, was used for the first time this year. However, department representatives eagerly responded to the student initiative.

Teams of teachers and students were drawn by lot to determine whether they would have to be the "defense" or the "opposing" side.

Svitlana Baranova (head of the Department of Germanic Philology) noted: "During the debate, we discussed urgent and quite relevant issues of academic mobility among students and teaching staff, the diploma importance and its role in the possibility of further employment".

"It was a fun informal communication that we all need at this time. Everyone tried to find arguments both to support a particular statement and to criticize it," - shared Oksana Brovkina her impressions.
