On 21 February, the SumDU Library held the Native Language Day. For this occasion, the Intellectual Language Battle between faculties and institutes was organized. Polina Kuchmieieva, a Philology student, took the first place.

At the battle beginning, participants got acquainted with Ukrainian equivalents of well-known foreign words. Also, they tested themselves in reading tongue twisters. Then, the competition was held as a Kahoot online game.

Polina comments: "Learning the Ukrainian language has been interesting to me since my school years. Her melodiousness and gentleness can really charm. Participation in this competition was a great opportunity for me to test my knowledge. The tasks were interesting and sometimes even difficult. I want to express my gratitude to the SumDU Library for holding such an important event".
