On 12 October 2023, the 75th anniversary of SumDU founding and #ErasmusDays 2023 held a round table "Systemic Impact of International Projects on the Development of Ukrainian Universities and Higher Education: From Tempus to Erasmus+ and the European University Alliances".

The event purpose was to spread the successful long-term university experience in realizing international projects, to identify promising topics and programs for future grants.

Around 70 scientists took part in the round table. Amon them, there were representatives of the Jean Monet module team "Fostering EU Practices of Education for Sustainable Development Through the Brand Language: Interdisciplinary Studies" ESDbrandEU). In particular, it was Halyna Chulanova and Vitalii Stepanov.

Anatolii Chornous (vice-rector for scientific work), Kostyantyn Kyrychenko (assistant rector for international activities, head of the International Cooperation Department) and Svitlana Shytikova (coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine) addressed the event participants with a welcome speech. Honorary partners of Sumy State University also took part in the event. In particular, David QUIN (professor of the Institute of Art Design and Technologies from Dublin, Ireland).

During the round table, Svitlana Shytikova presented the EU Erasmus+ opportunities for Ukrainian higher education institutions in 2024-2027. Also, new special EU tools for supporting Ukrainian education and science were discussed.

This event became an effective platform for spreading the best practices of project management and forming interdisciplinary teams of scientists to prepare projects on the most relevant topics for the university, regions and Ukraine.
