On 7-8 August 2023, a delegation from the international peacekeeping organization of the Netherlands "PAKS" visited Sumy Region. The purpose was to establish cooperation with local authorities and public organizations. The main directions are civilian protection from hostilities, armed conflict cessation, contribution to a peaceful and inclusive society. The delegation visited Chernechchyna, Okhtyrka, Trostianets, Romny, Sumy.

The delegation was accompanied by Hlafira Koval (a Philology graduate).

"I made many discoveries in translation and communication between people. Of course, that was my first serious experience of interpreting. There were some difficulties, but I am even glad about it. It helped me to understand the challenges associated with the translation profession. I realized that there was always space for growth and development. I do not plan to stop there. In future, I only want to deepen my knowledge and sharpen my skills to become a real professional in my field", Hlafira says.
