At Sumy State University, several Jean Monet projects are implemented, between which synergistic links often arise. Thus, due to the close cooperation of Oleksandr Kubatko (Jean Monnet Chair "EU Economic Policy and Civil Society", 619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA -EPPJMO-CHAIR) and Iryna Ushchapovska (the Jean Monet Module "Fostering EU practices of education for sustainable development through the brand language: interdisciplinary studies” of the EU Erasmus+ program, 101085708-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH), the study guide "European Union economic policy and civil society" has been prepared.

The textbook analyzes the EU economic policy  to ensure sustainable development and civil society. Indicators for measuring the achievement of sustainable development are given. Methods of assessing the dynamics of sustainable development are considered. The security issues of ensuring sustainable development in civil society are also revealed.

The chapters "Digital transformations in the European Union for sustainable development" and "Promoting stable, inclusive, and sustainable development and industrialization, creating a sustainable infrastructure" were prepared within the Jean Monnet project "Fostering EU practices of education for sustainable development through the brand language: interdisciplinary studies".
