During the 2022-2023 spring semester, Oleksandra Kubatko delivered the training course "Sustainable development: EU policies implementation" for students at Sumy State University. The course was developed by the teachers Oleksandra Kubatko and Iryna Ushchapovska within the Jean Monet module "Fostering EU practices of education for sustainable development through the brand language: interdisciplinary studies" (ESDbrandEU). It is supported by the EU Erasmus+ program (101085708-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) (headed by Iryna Ushchapovska).

The course provides students with advanced issues in European green policy affecting the EU trade. Students have mastered general principles of the EU green industry. Students have learned some facts about the development of European green agreements with particular attention to sustainable development.

After the course completion, the students can analyze data and facts related to the construction of basic economic indicators and interpretation of key relations between EU structures, rules, laws, business and trade.

Learning outcomes: understanding of the EU green policies concept; the EU knowledge and models that explain the EU functioning; knowledge about evolution of the EU economy and EU green policy; understanding of how to implement the main instruments of EU green policy; ability to use basic EU terminology.
