Iryna Ushchapovska (senior lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology) interpreted from English into Ukrainian at the events with Estonian delegation representatives headed by Kaimo Kuusk (the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine).

The visit (27-28 January 2022) coincided with a two-day simulation training conducted as a part of the Estonian-Ukrainian Resilient Ukraine development cooperation program. The training aim was to develop practical skills of cooperation and joint decision-making among local and regional authorities, law enforcement agencies, public activists, media experts and public opinion leaders of Sumy Region.

Crisis simulation training also included training components of national resilience in the context of information security, crisis preparedness and strategic communications. The trainings were organized within the SumDU Congress Center.
