During the spring semester of 2023, Kateryna Kolodiazhna (a third-year Philology student) took part in the Eramus+ programme, studying at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg (Germany).

- Upon beginning the semester in Bamberg, I did not expect to be so excited about my studies! From the very first lessons of the preparatory language course, followed by theoretical and practical subjects, I attended every lesson with outstanding motivation, enthusiasm and excitement. Moreover, I fell in love with the German educational system and noted some of its important principles which could be implemented in Ukraine.

In May, I decided to try my hand and took part in a creative writing contest on the topic "Künstliche Intelligenz" (Artificial Intelligence) at the Otto-Friedrich University. Surprisingly, even to myself, I took the second place and won a monetary prize. I decided to use every opportunity to show my abilities to find out what I was truly capable of. May my feedback serve as kind of a sign of destiny for everyone, who has considered to participate in the academic mobility programme. The answer on the question "Should I do it?" is definitely "Yes!"

Currently, at the host university suggestion , I keep studying in the autumn semester 2023/2024. I am enjoying every class. I have designed myself the study schedule. I am confident that by the end of my studies, I will have twice as much experience and impressions. It will certainly be useful not only in my future career, but also in my everyday life.

So, I advise everyone to select the programme you like and explore the mini-universe of a completely different culture!
