This year, I took part in the Erasmus+ program. Spent the spring semester in the ancient town of Bamberg (Germany) studying at the Otto-Friedrich University.
Participating in one of the Erasmus+ programs is one of the most exciting things in my life. There was everything: long-awaited offline learning, active student life, and even traveling. For the first time since COVID-19 shook the world, I was able to "feel like a student".
While studying at the Otto-Friedrich University, I not only improved my knowledge of a foreign language - both English and German - but also established intercultural ties, and in general, gained valuable experience of life abroad. The scholarship covered all my living expenses. I got a dormitory room and had an opportunity to try many different dishes of German cuisine.
All students can choose which courses to study, which I really liked. The fact that we had to register for the exams separately caused a little anxiety. Due to the fact that I have never encountered such a procedure, I was a little afraid of doing something wrong.
Now is a rather difficult time for every person of Ukrainian origin, especially for those who live on the territory of Ukraine and face difficulties. Programs such as Erasmus+ provide an opportunity to gain useful knowledge while spending time in another European country as well as learn something new about life in general.
