On 18 November 2022, an awarding ceremony for winners of the competition «The Best Student-2022» was held at the SumDU Congress Center. Karyna Vedmydera (a student of the Department of Germanic Philology) won in the nomination «Scientific Academic Mobility».

Oleksandra Pavliv (a third-year student, group PR-01) got the diploma as a recipient of the scholarship of the Sumy Regional State Administration Head.

Karyna Vedmydera shared with us her impressions:

«To be honest, until the last moment I thought that I would not be able to win. I did not believe in my abilities. This victory is the merit of my father, Serhii Vedmydera. He insisted and wanted me to go abroad and try something new. I am proud to bear this surname and find it in the list of the best SumDU students. I also want to share my award with lecturers who constantly support me. We have already become close to each other during these 4 years. Indeed, Sumy State University is also my family. It supports and encourages me when it is difficult, opens a new way to the future, is always close, always in my heart!»
