Oleksandra Kucheruk (Master's student of the specialty "Philology") was awarded a personal Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year.

Fruitful work in the classroom and extracurricular activities of the girl got the reward. Oleksandra is an active participant in scientific conferences, translation competitions, various trainings and courses. In the constant development and improvement of professional qualities, she perceives not only the benefits for her own future but also the incredible pleasure:

"I am interested in learning, for example, how languages function, change and evolve. Not only foreign but also our euphonious. I admire the way language conveys the culture of a people. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said: "Wer fremde Sprachen nicht kennt, weiß nichts von seiner eigenen (Those who do not know foreign languages, know nothing of their own)". Therefore, learning other languages, I appreciate my native language more, I feel myself as a part of something more meaningful".
