The student of the Department of Germanic Philology  Kateryna Avdiievska took part in students` on-the-job training by Women in Localization Ukraine and ProZ.com, the aim of which was to do a complete cycle of interpretation and localization from English into Ukrainian of one of the courses on the site ProZ.com.

Having passed the selection, Kateryna Avdiievska was one of ten female students from Ukrainian universities who had an opportunity to gain experience working with localization specialists.
During six weeks, a group of students under the direction of project coordinator Iryna Lebedeva worked on creating a glossary, transcribing English subtitles, translating and editing them, and monitoring the quality of the final digital content.
Kateryna says: "It was a valuable experience for me because I had an opportunity to work in a team and learn how to use different software programs, platforms, and translation tools. Special thanks to our practice coordinator Iryna Lebedieva, who always supported us, held online meetings, pointed out the mistakes, and gave advice about how to fix them quickly and professionally".
After 90 hours of practice, students received a certificate indicating the work they did, many useful resources, and the opportunity to add the project they worked on to their CVs.
We are glad for the progress of our students, we are proud of them, and we wish them further success!
