On the 20th-21th of November, senior lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology Alla Krasulia took the floor at the plenary session of the VIII International scientific-practical online conference "Overcoming language and communication barriers: education, science, culture" at the Department of Foreign Philology, Faculty of Linguistics and Social Communications, National Aviation University.

The conference participants introduced reports concerning trends and innovations in the theory and methods of foreign languages teaching, including issues of online and virtual education, its role and place in the modern educational space. The topic of the report was in line with the conference directions, namely: "Forms and methods of involving students of philology in collaborative learning in the digital environment."
In addition, during the section meeting was introduced the topic "International collaborative online learning: a new paradigm of higher education" in collaboration with the head of Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management, SumDU, Dr. of Economics Hanna Shvindina https://management.fem.sumdu.edu.ua/uk/shvindina. In her report Dr. Shvindina described the essence and organizational methodical bases of international collaborative online learning, characterized the expediency of application principles of digital pedagogy for development of intercultural professional competences and formation of numeral skills, substantiated by the example of effective introduction of virtual mobility in Sumy State University "Global Virtual Classroom" for students and lecturers.
