Students-translators took part in the Euroatlantic Youth Security Forum
During November 17-18 the fourth-year students of the speciality "Translation" Julia Dratch and Viktoria Kovalenko represented SSU at the Euroatlantic Youth Security Forum. The event was aimed to discuss the issues of security in Ukraine and Europe. Organizers of the event – Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, currently acting as NATO Contact Point Embassy in Ukraine, V.N. Karazin Kharkіv National University in the partnership with the Royal Norwegian Embassy.
TOEFL is easy!
On 13 and 14 November in TOEFL-center of Sumy State University two sessions of the international language TOEFL-test were held once again. Five people participated in the exam. The procedure passed very smoothly, because the administrator of the TOEFL-test, the associate professor on the department of Germanic Philology Olga Zhulavska and the assistant of the administrator were making maximum of efforts for such an important event to be held at the highest level.
Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications Students Took Part in DAAD Workshop
Students of State Sumy University, speciality “Translation”, group PR-21, Maria Vetoshkina, Vitalina Vitchenko, Daria Havrys, Anna Strilko, Svitlana Shevchenko spent a great weekend at DAAD workshop, organized by Goethe-Institut. It was lasting from the 6th till the 9th of November in Kyiv. The program involved students and pupils from all over Ukraine. DAAD Lecturers Anja Lange, Stephi Arnold and Wajko Frojnshtajn organized work of the participants.

On October, 28th a new meeting of “Travel Office” devoted to Canada was held at the Department of Germanic Philology at Sumy State University. This time everybody could travel to Canada.
