On 24 October 2022, the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies organized an online lecture. The speaker was Dr. Mathias Richter (a German politologist, philosopher and journalist). The topic was "Who is the people? On the gap of power in the symbolic dispositiv of democracy". Among the present faculty students, there was group PR-12/1 as well.
The issue of populism as a modern democracy challenge was discussed within the German history. Simultaneously, it was compared with other countries as well.
The visitors listened to the lecture gladly. They participated in the debate actively.
Notes: Mathias Richter studied philosophy and political science in Tübingen and Paris. He made his PhD at the University of Frankfurt. The thesis dealt with humanism between Sartre and Foucault in the sixties. A co-founder and editorial team member of the philosophical journal "Latenz". A proprietor of the education company "Phronesis Diskurswerkstatt gGmbH".
