Master students of specialty Philology, Marharyta Turchyna and Yuliia Lazutkina, who became participants of XVII Eastern Winter School, had a chance to visit the Homeland of Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin and Henryk Sienkiewicz – Poland, a country with a vibrant folklore and ancient history. The educational process lasted from February 28 till March 14 at the University of Warsaw. For both girls, it was the first trip abroad and it left on them a deep impression. Of course, only the best ones!

Weekdays started with fascinating lectures from professors of the renowned European universities. Then students attended informative seminars, during which they presented their own projects. Marharyta Turchyna has reported about the implementation of educational technologies for teaching foreign languages in higher education in Poland in the aspect of intercultural dialogue, and Yuliia Lazutkina has presented about diffusion of the Polish and Ukrainian cultures in the region of Slobozhanshchyna. Both reports provoked interest and praise from professors and other students.
The organizers of the trip supplemented the intensive activities with vivid excursions. Thus, the students have visited the University of Warsaw Library, Central Archives of Historical Records, Warsaw Uprising Museum, Fryderyk Chopin Museum, Polish Army Museum, Battle of Warsaw Museum and the National Museum in Warsaw. Moreover, girls have attended the Royal Castle that is located in the very heart of the Old Town, Wilanowski Palace and walked along the alleys of the magnificent Royal Lazienki Park.

"We will be happy to visit Warsaw again!", – says Yuliia Lazutkina.
