Senior lecturer of the department of Germanic philology at the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications of SumDU, the director of Ukrainian-Polish Collaboration Centre Iryna Ushchapovska participated in the XXI session of Consortium of Ukrainian universities and the University of Warsaw.

The session took place at of Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University. The session of the Consortium was at the time of celebrating 100th anniversary of this educational institution. the director of the Centre of Eastern European Stidios of the University of Warsaw, honored professor of National university of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, honored doctor of Ostroh Academy Jan Malicki.
During the event were discussed such questions as participation of universities, members of Consortium, in academic exchage program PROM-2, current grants and schools at Studium of Eastern Europe, Ivan Vyhovskyi scholarship program.
Iryna Ushchapovska told about the plans to create a center for meetings of Ukrainian and Polish youth at Sumy state University for studying cultural and historic heritage, conducting archeological explorations, green tourism development, creating the brand of the region, etc. In addition, they discussed the web site of Consortium created by the specialists of SumDU.
Representatives of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications of SumDU are going to participate in the sessions of Consortium, which will take place in spring 2010 at the University of Warsaw.
