At Sumy State University, several Jean Monet projects are implemented, between which synergistic links often arise. Thus, due to the close cooperation of Oleksandr Kubatko (Jean Monnet Chair "EU Economic Policy and Civil Society", 619878-EPP-1-2020-1-UA -EPPJMO-CHAIR) and Iryna Ushchapovska (the Jean Monet Module "Fostering EU practices of education for sustainable development through the brand language: interdisciplinary studies” of the EU Erasmus+ program, 101085708-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH), the study guide "European Union economic policy and civil society" has been prepared.

During the 2022-2023 spring semester, Oleksandra Kubatko delivered the training course "Sustainable development: EU policies implementation" for students at Sumy State University. The course was developed by the teachers Oleksandra Kubatko and Iryna Ushchapovska within the Jean Monet module "Fostering EU practices of education for sustainable development through the brand language: interdisciplinary studies" (ESDbrandEU). It is supported by the EU Erasmus+ program (101085708-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) (headed by Iryna Ushchapovska).

Alla Krasulia (senior lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology) took part in the 17th JTELSS23 Summer School of the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning.

The event took place in La Manga (Spain) on 3-10 June 2023. It was supported by the Department of Information and Communication Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science, University of Murcia (Spain). 95 researchers from different EU countries were the school participants.

On 5-12 June 2023, the Department of Germanic Philology held the course project defense in the teaching methodology. Various amazing works were submitted to the committee.

During the defense, Bachelor students demonstrated a high level of professional competence. Relevance of topics in the context of modern European integration was noted. Research results have been published in journals and conference proceedings.

On 2 June 2023, the final stage of the XVII All-Ukrainian Student Translation Contest "Artistic Word in World Culture" took place at the Volodymyr Dal East Ukrainian National University.

Despite air raid alarms, 137 students from different parts of Ukraine participated in the competition. The participants competed in six translation categories.

On 25 May 2023, the 64th Student Applied Science Conference was held in the Riga Technical University (RTU). Anzhelika Kalchenko and Yana Herzhan (students, the Department of Germanic Philology) were invited to the ceremonial awarding of diplomas. Talis Yukhna (RTU rector, professor) congratulated the event participants.

On 28 May 2023, the Ukrainian Inter-University Shakespeare ZNU Center, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University and the Ukrainian Association of Foreign Literature Teachers organized the seminar "The Latest Strategies for Representing William Shakespeare's Works in Foreign Literature Classes". Here, there were invited winners of the XII All-Ukrainian Vitalii Kays Contest for Student Research and Creative Shakespeare Projects.

SumDU was represented by Kateryna Kolodiazhna (a 3rd-year Philology student, supervisor Oksana Brovkina). She took the second place at the XII All-Ukrainian Shakespeare Contest.

Oksana Brovkina (a senior lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology) completed the Teaching Tips for Tricky English Grammar Online Course and received a certificate from the University of California, Irvine.

The course includes four weeks devoted to Teaching Nouns, Articles, and Quantifiers; Teaching Gerunds, Infinitives, Requests and Permission; Teaching Confusing Word Forms; Teaching Phrasal Verbs and Collocations.

On 16-19 May 2023, there was the online international conference "ECONOMICS FOR ECOLOGY" (EU Practices for Sustainable Economy Implementation within Industries 4.0 and 5.0).

The conference gathered about 50 researchers, teachers, students (PhD, DSc, bachelors) and business representatives. During the plenary session, there were speeches among scientists and public figures from Switzerland, Poland, China, Belgium, Denmark, Ukraine. Economic, technological and social prospects for fostering sustainable development were discussed.

On 12-13 May 2023, as a part of the Europe Days in Ukraine, representatives of the Jean Monet module "Fostering EU Practices of Education for Sustainable Development through the Brand Language: Interdisciplinary Studies" (101085708-ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) Iryna Ushchapovska and Oleksanra Kubatko participated in the international scientific and practical conference "ESSENTIAL ISSUES OF LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE FUNCTIONING IN MODERN POLYCULTURAL SOCIETY".
